Kusina By Chef Gio started from a friendship, a shared love of Filipino food, and a simple idea: to bring flavors we know and love to more people in our community.

At the heart of our Kusina is Chef Gio, whose journey began with a formal training and grew into a career in professional kitchens, hospitality leadership, culinary educations, and business development.  After years of cooking, teaching, mentoring, and leading, Kusina by Chef Gio became a way for Gio to bring those experiences together and share his passion for Filipino cuisine.

Alongside him is Marie, whose path to Kusina looks a little different.  Her cooking experience comes from family gatherings rather than professional kitchens, but her passion has always been caring for people, bringing them together, and serving others.  As a full-time mom and real estate property manager, taking food business may not have been the most obvious next chapter, but sometimes the best ideas begin around a table with family and friends.

Together, with the support of family and friends, we created Kusina by Chef Gio.  A family and friend owned small business built around good food, warm hospitality, and a love for sharing our Filipino culture.

Our menu celebrates the comforting dishes and bold favors of the Philippines, prepared with Chef Gio's professional touch and the heart of a Filipino home.
